I was just astounded by the footage from this new Documentary by Director Peter Jackson (Lord Of The Rings and other cinematic masterpieces.) I can't count how many times I said WOW while watching the trailer and hopefully if you are interested in more wow moments this link to the story from The New York Times will give it to you, but I am not sure the link will work as they do not share to Google+ on the site.

  1. It appeared as a YouTube link and worked well for me by clicking on the arrow of the image. Amazing restoration, Margaret Siemers!

  2. Right Jeff Diver, I may not have been clear enough above. The pictured link is not the same as the written link. The written link shows more details of the process he went through, and gives before and after examples of the process. Just amazing for the history alone. Thanks for commenting.

  6. "The War, To End All Wars!" Our most costly war in lives. Worldwide, a large part of a generation was lost. The end of civility, and first with 'No Rules'.

A war that used weaponry so evil, that even today, they are outlawed. Sadly it did not, of course, end all wars. We just learned to be more efficient and at a larger scale than ever before.

  8. Ann Kennedy ; Very true, I don't think there is any way anyone will be able to watch this and not feel emotion over the spectacle that was as horrendous as this war was.

Oshi Shikigami, thank you for bringing the depth of that point to the conversation. (and your wonderful art) These comments only make a stronger point for seeing and knowing the horror of war. If we forget the destructions of mankind that he brought on himself, we will only repeat the mistakes.
