  1. Wow, a 24 minute commercial. Our predecessors had great patience.

  2. HA! This was great! Watched the entire thing, remembering childhood when my mom used a pressure cooker. I wasn't allowed near it, as if it might explode:-) So glad that Carol gained her mother's respect, thanks to Home Ec class and a pressure cooker! The modern ones are much improved, thankfully. Thanks for the fun post.

  3. Ann Kennedy We weren't allowed Mom's pressure cooker either because "it might explode". I'm pretty sure it was a presto like in this video.

  4. Trucker Kev The Paid Tourist, oh my gosh what a commercial indeed! Today they would call it an "infomercial" and it would be on at 2:00 AM Steve Hart and Ann Kennedy, no one was allowed in the kitchen when the cooker was engaged at our house, because it could explode! Never did but caution was the word in our house.

Thank you Kev for sharing this delightful look back into our not so distant past.

  6. Margaret Siemers ! indeed so much Common Sense was needed back then, and it was used they knew that it was not a toy until those other idiots a few years ago sadly took the idea of using it to make bombs that blew up the Boston Marathon the two brothers one dead one in the other one in prison for life. they used a pressure cooker for the reasons😢😲
    glad ya liked it😃
