I remember the one my mom went to. She got personal service and considerations, non of the mega store ever would. And, if you wanted a specific cut, they would order it for you, when you wanted it. All with a big warm smile. And they knew all the kids too! :-)
Ann Kennedy Isn't that the truth! It's funny how a local grocery store or meat market can be a hub for gathering and connecting with others. Such a familial thing.
I miss the independent grocers and specialty shops, and prefer a small town supermarket to the mega-stores any day!
