Memorial Day and Strawberry Preserves.
Memorial Day and Strawberry Preserves. This may be a re-run for some of you, so apologies. I did however, think that Truman's cautious optimism was interesting and I agree that we should all continue to "beg Divine aid in bringing enduring peace to a troubled world."
I still have a scar about the size of a quarter, on my shoulder from a vaccination I got in that era. :-(
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and meaningful Memorial Weekend! :-)
Oshi Shikigami Yes, my scar is still visible as well. I guess that's the ID from our era:-) I hope you have a great weekend as well and that the weather doesn't get nasty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful summer dresses
ReplyDeleteSue Smith I agree:-)
ReplyDeleteToday was OK, first in a while. Hoping it and I, will be good enough, to visit memorial, on Monday!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those people who seems to get sick from my vaccination before I get immunized. And also had big scars as a girl. Funny, I hadn't thought about it but they're mostly gone now. Or not nearly as visible. :) I love the personal, Ann. That's what makes life interesting. To a memorable Memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami Me, too.
ReplyDeleteRoma Arellano I've just realized that I failed to respond to your nice comments! So sorry to be so late in doing so. I have often thought back on the changes we've seen in health care during our lives, from spraying the town in hopes of preventing polio, sugar cubes with vaccines administered at school, etc. I'm grateful that we've come a long way:-) Thanks for writing, Roma. Much appreciated always!
ReplyDeleteI own that badge of courage mark on my arm too. I will always remember hitting that dang thing when I was dressing or undressing. Always love seeing these Ann Kennedy, thank you.
ReplyDeleteMargaret Siemers Thanks, Margaret:-)
ReplyDeleteLove it. Fabulous dresses and Oh That Hat!
