  1. That is a delightfully laid out set of gauges. And the wood, is to die for! :-)

  2. I love the flashlight attachment on the steering column. I don't like to think about non collapsible, pre airbag steering columns and what they can do to you in a wreck, but I sure do love the look of the old cars.

  3. My grandmother had a 1964 flamingo pink T-Bird. It has so much chrome in the cockpit, you had to wear sunglasses, if the sun was above the horizon! It also has a, "Tilt-A-Way" steering column, that would tend to shift to the right, when attempting a right hand turn.

Was it "safe?" NO, not really. But it sure was a fun car do drive! lol

  4. I her ya Oshi Shikigami, and I believe you too. They were wonderful cars back then, and most of us apparently survived being in them. I liked the wing vent windows and the floor vents that opened to the outside. I guess it wasn't aerodynamic and why they were done away with, but it sure cooled you off on a hot day when you were riding. There's loads of good memories in those old cars. Safety features not so much but gosh they were cool things it be in.

  5. Margaret Siemers I had a 1969 Ford Bronco that floor vents that opened to the outside. The first time I opened them in the spring, they blew all kinds of leaves and crap into the car. Got me every time.

  6. lol Paula Moore, sounds like that one didn't have the screens in it any longer. I can't say that even happened in my parents old Pontiac or the Studebaker Flight Hawk that my husband had.
