My mom bought it a little over 50 years ago and its perhaps 100 years old.
I like the font used for the numbers, sort of Art Nouveau I think.

  2. Oh Tom, such a wonderful clock! The carving is elegant, and I wish at times like these that I could still hear. What a joy for you and your family to have this! Does it have a tag as to the maker? Just wondering if you know, don't go to any trouble to look.

  3. The movement is by Fredrich Mauthe. The Mauthe logo stamped on it is the one used from 1895 to 1920. The cabinet might be Mauthe as well but there's no identifying marks on it.

  7. Peter Wloch That's wonderful, and again I thank you for letting us know. If I am not being too inquisitive, what is your hometown? I myself live near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in a little town called Lewisberry.
