  1. I cannot help but compare with what we now consider, "High tech," and wonder, in another 50 - 100 years, what people then will say, when looking and laughing at our, "High Tech," photos of 'Modern Transportation'?

Personally, I would take the complete package of the above, over our 'rocket powered' sardine cans, with auto grope features...

  2. Somewhere in my travels around this country I have seen planes landing over the highway. It looks really freaky as your coming up on it because of the lay of the land, it looks like you will be running into the plane if you continue on your course. Runs in my mind like it was somewhere in Texas, but I can't for the life of me remember just where it was, do you know Tom Brydon ? love this shot and that plane.

  3. Oshi Shikigami I have to agree with you, it would be preferable to fly in something like this today. I would not care if I got there a little slower than in a modern jet either.

  4. That looks like Winchester Road in Memphis. today you can see a few Fed-Ex planes on that same strip but it is usually later at night. And by few, I meant A LOT.

  6. Stephen Russell That could be it for my sighting. Been in and around Memphis several times in the past while heading south.
Tom Brydon, thanks for the additional info. I was to New York only once in my life on a School Trip. I thought it smelled funny but loved the Museums and Rockefeller Center. I know I didn't see this on that trip. ; )
