Is that a, 'Junkers JU88'? Yes, both sides, in WWII and even WWI they tried many ways of eliminating the, 'balloon problem.'With guided missiles on jets, it is no contest. Barrage Balloons, have no real protection. So I doubt you will ever see them in warfare, again...
