Looks like Jackie had to operate this helmet camera while driving, that is what you call a quick shot.

  1. This film camera had a motor to wind it, and you could plug in a cable with switch to activate shutter. All settings on camera are pre-set, so all the driver had to do is press the button (probable taped to the steering wheel?) whenever he/she wished. the biggest problem was that you could only shoot 36 shots before reloading! ;-)

  2. Oshi Shikigami thanks for the info. Do you think the grey wire shaped like a bent golf club is an adapted switch or the manual wind on?

  3. In order to take the picture without the winder, you used the button on top of the camera. The light gray cord attached to the motor, attached to the camera is of proper design to go to a switch, likely outside the photo, to trip the camera.

Interesting trivia.h e socket on the camera as well as the male plug ewere, were physically compatible with the standard plug and socket, of the pre 3-pin wiring in common use both in US and japan. unfortunately that meant that the camera release switch when plugged into a AC outlet, was a direct short of 110Volts! I have known of people that experienced such accidents. It usually fried the camera drive, and shocked the photographer!
