Interesting how Kool was not until TV ads banned and billboard advertising came about would Kool be aimed toward a black demographic and later into 80s Newport Alive With Pleasure would do the same..Infact most Kool ads on tv were caucasian aimed

Most every national ad on tv was aimed at the caucasian population in the 60s. It was television that made us aware of the inequitable way we treated blacks in this country.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy watching these ads. Whenever I watch an old re-run on ME TV or Antennae TV, I wish the ads were still there. Of course at the time we hated them, just like we do now:-)
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy Yep..But banned is banned no matter what outlet unless a vintage clip or dvd that the general public cannot access..But they are fun to watch
