INSIDE THE OLD POTTING & TOOL SHED
This is the old shed at Cornwall's Lost Gardens of Heligan. I made the photo sepia to fit in with the shed's history.

Heligan was an important well maintained estate, at it's best in the late 19th century. The outbreak of World War I changed all that. This was the start of the estate’s demise as its workforce went off to fight in the trenches; many sadly never to return. The gentleman in the picture at the far end of the shed was one of those lost in battle.

In the 1990s the gardens were 'found' and the 200 acres were brought back to their original splendour - thus the present name The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Photo for #joinindaily set by Johnny Wills - today's theme 'Sheds & Barns'.

  2. I like the use of the round object catching your eye compared to all the other vertical lines all over the place.

  4. Thank you David Bennett for the re-share. Thanks also for the other comments by Sue Smith and Stephen Russell

Margaret Siemers I've no real excuse for not sharing also on The VIntage Life - other than how quickly time seems to be speeding along.

    Best wishes to all.
