  1. Lots to see in this one! Windmills, a possible time traveler, kids playing in the street and a car avoiding them! The picture can't be enlarged when clicked on so details of what that man in a raincoat is carrying can't be identified. Curiouser and curiouser, but so much fun to see John T, Thank you.

  2. Margaret Siemers I have done a bit of research and I think this is a Renault taxi from 1905-10 and were used in Paris and London. The windmill might mean Paris near the Moulin Rouge, as does the man walking away from us on the left with the French beret.

  3. John T you're simply wonderful! Thank you for the information. So, do you think the children were an advertisement or were they saved by the quick handling of the one eyed Renault taxi? Just making conversation. No need to search on that.

  4. Margaret Siemers the taxi has one light lamp missing so you just see the U shape holder. These taxis were used for quite a few years so I think this photo was taken between 1920-30
Also the man you mentioned before on the left holding something, maybe a flask, is dressed in clothes that look quite modern, not Victorian. And the pedal car reminds me of Auto Union racing cars from the 30s and has a flyer on the hood with the words Studio 23. So this may even be a film set

  5. Thank you John T Your effort to provide more information is more than expected and more than appreciated too. It just brings the picture to life I think.
