    I must confess that it also happens to me ! I often call my granddaughter by my daughter's name. It must be because seeing my granddaughter grow draws me 30 years back in time and my memory actually sees my daughter !

  4. I read in a psychological research blog by knowing Dr.'s that it means you are loved if called by anothers name by your parents, and that you love the people that you are mixing the names up with.
    The mind, they say tends to groupe people we care about in one compartment, and when trying to recall quickly they tumble out over each other.
    I thought that was rather good to know, seeing as I have done that with my children endless times.
