Here is my contribution to joinindaily.
This is Brighton Pier.
At the front stands a carriage of Volk's Electric Railway waiting for departure. It runs for a few hundred yards alongside the beach.
This railway is the oldest electric railway still in existence. It started in 1883, only four years after the very first experiment of an electric rail vehicle by Siemens in 1879.
