Wow! Back about then I had a 1.5" B@W TV that was the size of a paperback novel. It ran on a couple of AA batteries. I would take it to bed, and watch Johnny Carson!
ReplyDeleteLoL, all of him or would only his nose and one ear fit on it. ; )
ReplyDeleteThese tiny TVs just floor me.
Oshi Shikigami yes I seem to remember something similar, my dad worked at sea month on/off so he would always come home with some gadget from his travels. He once brought back from a ship the windup wired telephone system with the brass winder and a light to show it was charging. We set it up between me and my sisters rooms.
ReplyDeleteJohn T Very cool memory. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteMargaret Siemers, This was the same time (1982) I had one of my first computers. A Timex Sinclair 1000. it looked like a door stop and had a membrane keyboard. The "screen" was any TV you hooked it to. The computer ran on a 9 V battery.
ReplyDeleteI found some large rubber bands, and bundled the two together. Thus making my first "Laptop Computer!
