I was always intrigued by circus life as a child having seen the circus and then waiting for its return. My feelings about it coming to an end after its long history are mixed. Yes, as you say, good and bad. Clowns always seemed a bit sad in spite of their performances, I felt sorry for the animals, but loved the acrobats:-)
Glad you posted this Steve Hart I was just coming here to see if the news had gotten this far yet. Gosh to me Ringling Brothers WAS the circus, the others were not so good. Another Tradition gone from us. (clowns I can live without, but the ladies on the horses jumping through hoops I will always love and miss.)
