These are great and there are so many interesting background details. For those who are wondering whether or not to keep or get rid of all those old picture albums when downsizing, It was once suggested to keep only those with people in them. I completely disagree because in doing that we lose so many pieces of our culture, our homes, the vehicles and street scenes so important to the preservation of our memories.

As much as I love some of the people in the shots, it really is the the things around the shots that give them depth, give them stories.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you and Ann Kennedy It's the things on and around the tree that always interest me too. The one lady had quite a nice chamberpot...she collected tea cups, so I hope she didn't think it was a huge coffee cup! : )
