  1. It's a wonder any of us lived. My parents always went together when the "baby" was in the car so dad could drive and mom could hold. Lucky for me Dad was an excellent driver. ; )

  2. There were also flexible canvas slings that hung over the seatback. Of course we only had lap belts as well, and nothing at all before that. Remember sleeping on that shelf behind the back seat up against the rear window. That was such fun! That's a great image John W Poynton!

  3. Ann Kennedy That was my Drive-in Movie watching spot. With pillow and blanket I could see over everyone's head and fall asleep after struggling to stay awake. That was fun.
