A victorian school in ruins. Working right next to this at the moment. Would look great in a dracula film.

  2. It's awesome. I'd love to see inside... Have you been inside?

  3. It must have been a beautiful property at one time. I'm surprised that vandals haven't stripped it to bits, or maybe they have. It is obvious that it was once a grand and lovely place.

  5. Known as Blundell street school in the city of Hull (it's actually on Clifton street). The school was built as a boarding school in 1878. It has stood derelict for many years until it caught fire in May 2016. All that is left are the bones of the building. Someone has made a video of the inside on YouTube here. youtube.com - Blundell Street School, Hull

  6. That's exactly the kind of snooping around I would have loved to do myself - many thanks to the young man for taking a video of that and for having the nerve to walk around in such a dilapidated old building. (his accent is cute!)
Even with a lot of imagination, it was hard to picture the building in its prime with kids in the halls. It really is a shame, but it appears to be beyond all hope of restoration.

  8. Darran Hughes That video is an important part of the history of the school(s), whether it is recognized yet as such or not. Thanks for this addition to your great post.

  9. Darran Hughes This drawing of the school is also wonderful to see. So sad that it was destroyed the way it was. Thanks again.
