Ford Popular 103E.

Ford Popular 103E. The first car I ever drove whilst learning to drive. It had a 3-speed gear box and was easy to learn in.

  1. It could just be a trick on the eyes, but was it a small car? Looks so narrow the way it is sitting there in this photo.

  3. Ann Kennedy I was just commenting the very same thing and I have said it since I was 11 years old while my grandmother grinned at me! Why don't we bring these cars back? They did not guzzle gas they were easy to repair! I bet I could do repairs on one of these? Cheap easy upkeep, the only problem is factories don't make the parts anymore but I know they can! They just don't want to! :)

  4. Lady Sandra I guess it's all about safety, about emissions regulations, etc. Too bad:-)

  5. Ann Kennedy probably, I have heard some men comment that there are so many safety regulations put on our cars it is wonder they run at all and often times when something goes wrong with the car you have to fight all the safety parts to get to the problem parts and that's why they hook them up to computers for diagnostics. :)) Still I like the idea of a car that runs without safety parts and computers!

  6. Margaret Siemers It wasn't a really wide car, as far as I remember.
