So, are you three saying this isn't 40s but 60s? I would have to agree with John W Poynton on this one. Perhaps the fridge was as close to the original as they could get?
Margaret Siemers No, definitely 40s. A Google search showed a very similar one used as a movie prop. My refrigerator was purchased used and was in excellent shape for its age. Paid $80 for it. An uncle built a new home in the mid-40s (after the war) with a similar kitchen layout.

I had this model of Kelvinator fridge when I married in 1960. Very good product.
