  1. The one with the handle takes the honey combs from the frame in the hive. Turn the handle and the honey is expelled much like a spin dryer. The other taller set up is a filter arrangement prior to bottling the honey.

  2. James Jones. SO THIS IS A. BEEHIVE WITH A HONEY SEPERATOR OR IS THE WHOLE THING USED TO SEPARATE HONEY..I KNEW IT WASN'T A POPCORN POPPER:-):-):-):-):-)

  3. John Wiggin no the bee hive is a separate item. Most look like wee houses with clap board sides. The frames that the the bees build the combs on and fill with either brood, pollen or honey look like flat picture frames.

  4. James Jones. OK WHEN YOU REPLIED THE ONE WITH HANDLE SEPARATES THE HONEY THOUGHT THE FIRST PICTURE WAS A ROUND HIVE. I HAVE A BEHIVE IN MY BACK YARD IT IS LIKE THE ONE YOU. MENTIONED
I PUT OUT A LARGE VEGETABLE GARDEN EACH YEAR AND THE BEE ACTIVITY IS AMAZING.

  6. James Jones. WITHOUT BEES THERE WOULD BE NO FOOD . POLLENATION KEY PROCESS IN ALL PLANT GROWTH.. THERE IS A LARGE CONCERN ABOUT THE DECLINE OF HIVES. LOTS OF BEES DIEING AND NOT RETURNING TO THE HIVES.. SOME CAUSED BY INSECTICIDES SOME CAUSED BY ENVIROMENTAL CHANGES. BEES ARE A FRAIL INSECT EASILY AFFECTED BY MINOR. OR LARGE CHANGES.
