Do you like to look through your old family photos? I sure do. Some of my childhood photos and the camera that took them.

Next step : the scanner !
ReplyDeleteShow us some of those great old family shots!
ReplyDeleteLaurent TRUILLET and Ann Kennedy I really have been a slacker on scanning old photos. I need to use my son-in-law as incentive. He just scanned a couple of thousand old slides that his father took many years ago.

ReplyDeleteI wish you have the courage to do so.
As far as I am concerned, I have finished scanning ALL my film negatives and slides, and I am terribly happy that I finished the job, Now, I can share any memory with any members of the family or relatives and make them as happy as I am myself when I receive new inputs to my collection.
Thanks Laurent TRUILLET I do have some scanning done. When my son and daughter were both married we scanned a enough to make a slide show of them growing up. I will most likely never scan everything, but I need to start going through the boxes of slides and film to pick the best to scan. Most of all I need to do scanning on my childhood and my parents before I was born.
ReplyDeleteRon Grooms Just start out doing an hour a day or whatever you can tolerate:-)
ReplyDeleteRon Grooms I had to wait until I was retired to do the job. It would have been totally impossible in my active years. I used a Cannon scanner with a device to scan 12 negs automatically. The scanner worked every day for 3 months from 7 am till 6 pm. I moved around in the house with a kitchen timer in my pocket warning me to get back to the scanner every half hour to change the negatives...
ReplyDeleteLaurent TRUILLET I don't have that luxury yet, still working. Most of what I have scanned has been done on an Epson V700 scanner that I have at work. I will sometimes scan a few negatives at lunch.
ReplyDeleteYes. It's one of my favourite things to do. I love old photos. I have my grandmother's photo album. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteEvelon Burley always fun looking at old photos from years ago.
ReplyDeleteRon Grooms Yes it really is. I love it. It's the only time you can go back in time. Take Care.
