I was given this camera by my wife's great uncle several years ago. The serial number places it at about 1967 production. The copy of Popular Photography I bought new a number of years ago. It was actually one of the first photography magazines that I ever bought. Do any of you Google+'s remember reading that issue, or can you identify it? Are you old enough to have read it, or is it older than you?

I read every photo magazine that existed in the '70s. Including this magazine. However I don't recall this specific edition. I did keep my "pop photo mag", that had the Nikon F extensively reviewed along with the Leica M4. That was a classic.
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami this issue was June 1964
ReplyDeleteI was reading that magazine then. Both it and "Modern Photography" were very interesting and useful for me at the time. They were the best source of currant photo info, available back then - before the internet!
ReplyDeleteUntil a few years ago, I still had all the issues of Modern Photography and Popular Photography. It got to be too much to keep so I finally tossed them all but I kept a few of the older issues. I still get Popular Photography but only keep the ones that I haven't had a chance to read.
