ReplyDeleteThese letters are so important in helping us to understand what an era was really like. An era is so much more than who won the war, but rather how did the people like you and me really live.
ReplyDeleteReverieFrance Thank you for that thoughtful comment. I do hope people are able to learn something from the letters. My parents understood how fortunate they were to have food and shelter at a time when many did not. They felt immense gratitude and cared deeply for others.
