75 YRS AGO THIS WEEK: Eagle Engine Co., Hyde Park, NY. Apparently LIFE didn't know a tuna from a tarpon. https://goo.gl/8ARRaI

"The Eagle Engine Company has 'President Franklin D. Roosevelt' at the top of its posted membership roster. The name is followed by a row of empty squares, showing he has responded to no alarms this year. What grieves his fellow firemen more is that when the scaffold on the new Franklin D. Roosevelt Library caught fire last January, the Roosevelt's called Poughkeepsie firemen to put it out. The stuffed tuna was donated by the President's late half-brother, James Roosevelt ('Rosey') Roosevelt, tiger skin by Vanderbilt's."
