    Gilou Pelletier was the child in the two films I posted previously. He was in a few films and seems to have disappeared from public view before he was even 10 years old.

    That is not a camera. It is a director's viewfinder, device used to see their precise framing of a movie camera lens. Not usually found in small time operations, especially in that time frame.
