So I wanted to share this scan of the advertisement for my 1954 Dodge Royal.

So I wanted to share this scan of the advertisement for my 1954 Dodge Royal. I have a sedan instead of a coupe but here she is off the pages of Time magazine. If anyone ever finds or has an ad for the 54' Dodges I would love a scan of them.
Does anyone else have a vintage car?
Does 2003 count as "vintage", or just old? LOL
ReplyDeleteRaven Just Raven (Rannvaeig Eskilskona) I do have a vintage car. It's a 1928 Ford Model A roadster. Sorry, can't help you with the Dodge ad.
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami In the most general sense, an old automobile is classified as Vintage. In the narrower senses of car enthusiasts and collectors, it is a car from the period of 1919 to 1930. While different criteria is used for insurance and car show categories, usually a car must be 25-30 years to qualify. So, no, 2003 isn't "vintage" nor "old". Sorry!
Good info Doreen Sherlaw thanks. And I hope all owners of vintage cars will feel free to post a photo with us. We would love to see them.
ReplyDeleteAny car 25 years old is classified as an "Antique" and you can get a tag for it that says Antique and will be your last tag to buy. At least that's the way it is here in Alabama. :-)
