  1. That's really super. At in that generation they really worked at the relationships. They stay together for basically forever. my mom and dad were together for almost 50 years before they passed on.

  2. Mine too Evelon. The women were more loyal in many cases.

  3. I should say, my mom is still here at nearly 86 years old and my dad would be 97 if still alive.

  5. I am very blessed to still have my mom Evelon. I fear very much losing her every day. I just wont know how or what to feel or think when she leaves. This world wont be the same.

  6. Well, Margaret I don't know what the stats are on things through the decades, but I base that on my mother, while my Dad played around all my childhood days. :-). Oh, I'm sure there were plenty of women that cheated during the 40's, 50's, etc. but what was the majority between the two,.of cheating ? I could be very wrong on any of this Margaret. I only know what I know..lol. :-)

  7. Matthew Woodall I see, we do tend to generalize through what we know so it is understandable that this would be the impression you have. It just struck me as odd when you said it.
I can't find stats on fooling around in the 40's, not sure if they were doing research on it then. Divorce stats are a matter of record.
I am not trying to say one is better than the other party when it comes to messing up the lives of those they were with. And I am very glad that your mom was the kind of Mother that kept her family together because she raised some fine children. It just sounded like you were speaking from your pain, and I guess you were. I am sorry if I made you feel bad. It's this darn quizzical mind I have, always wants to know.

  8. My parents were married for fifty years and l no fot sure my mom stayed faithful to my dad. She loved him with all her heart. He was her first love
My dad loved her to but l am not sure if he was alway's true to her. The point is that l think women are more loyal to their men. I do not no why. Just so
women's nature l guess. O of course there probably are exceptions but that's what I believe.

  9. In my own experience with women though is another story..lol. :-) I always dated attractive women and married 2 that were attractive, and they knew it way too much so to speak..lol. They loved and lived for attention and when attention was given by one person, well, one person was not enough attention for them. And so they cheated on me. They were indeed lovers of themselves than anything else. They didn't even care about the person they cheated with. They just wanted to be looked at all the time, and when they couldn't get a look from a man, they would go out of their way to get attention from a man, by starting a conversation and then smiling at them in a very forward way. As much as I love Susan, she was the world's worse at demanding attention and flirting for attention from men. But if I were to unconsciously look at or toward another woman, I was called everything in the book and harshly treated...and innocent as could be. :-)
