I just wanted to say, that because the quality of blogs that are sometimes filtering into the community has improved, and the quality of the blogs that belong to our long standing members like Ann Kennedy, Mike Perry and others should be seen here because they have much to offer.
That said...removal of any blog or post not deemed in the best interests of the community will be removed without notice.
Carved in Formica!
Well if it's carved in Formica ... :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your blog too Madges Hatbox
ReplyDelete"Carved in Jello", comes to mind...
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret Siemers for your nice mention. I promise I won't spam the community with boring family letters:-)
ReplyDeleteMargaret Siemers Thanks. Would never dare to go against anything carved in Formica :-)
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy They're not boring.
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy your family is anything but boring :)
ReplyDeleteMadges Hatbox Thank you for that. Sometimes I am plodding along on those letters and feel like I'll never get the project finished. The family joke is that maybe I'll get a chance to read the blog, too, when I'm done transcribing the letters. Thanks again, and good luck with your upcoming house projects!
ReplyDeleteMike Perry Thank you, Mike. Someone told me once that the letters were extraordinary in their ordinariness, and I know she meant it in a positive way.
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy It's the little things - the brush strokes - that make the whole picture.
ReplyDeleteAlso want to add that I have placed a new category here in the community. "History" is now a place things can be shared such as the Admiral Bird story on Little America by John W Poynton.
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami Too many snack hounds out and about to carve it in tasty jello.
ReplyDeleteMike Perry Well said:-)
ReplyDeleteMargaret Siemers Thanks! You're too kind.
