Hello Vintage community!
Hello Vintage community!
I was wondering if you all would be so kind as to
show us your china?
My favorite is the second one from the bottom and I know that as people who appreciate fine things from days gone by, you surely each have your own favorite piece of china. It would be very fun to snoop into your china cupboards :)
Fun Idea Patsy Priebe Challenge accepted by the community. Just need a few days myself. lol Things going on here keep me busy.
ReplyDeletemine isn't vintage
ReplyDeleteSteve Hart neither is my favorite one - from the 90s only
ReplyDeleteI used to watch a lot of "Keeping up appearances" and have always sort of wanted Royal Dalton with the hand painted periwinkles.
ReplyDeleteSteve Hart that's funny that you should mentions Hyacinth's Royal Doulton with the handpainted periwinkles!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor this exercise Steve Hart Patsy Priebe Everyone. It doesn't need to be vintage. Lets just share our favorite China.
ReplyDeleteCome on, lets have some fun.
Will see what I can find.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm excited to see these!
ReplyDeleteMike Perry you get extra points for tea in the teacups! lol
ReplyDeletePatsy Priebe - Haha! - but any excuse for a cuppa.
ReplyDeletePatsy, again I had a look on your favorite one and now I am sure is old In Europa this kind of pattern ,specially small pink roses in this shape ,were in using from Sezession /Art Nouveau time here
ReplyDeleteInka WSmith that second one from the top - I had a look at the bottom of it and it really was European just as you say! It was some kind of Czech marking on the bottom
ReplyDeletePatsy, I have to thank you for suggesting this, it is way more fun and interesting than I had hoped for, and the member participation is wonderful. I am having a wonderful time. Patsy Priebe
ReplyDeletePatsy Priebe ha ha ha ! I see I am good
ReplyDeleteDarran Hughes
ReplyDeletedon't be elusive!
if you'd rather not show china, how about the mess kit of a gnarly old sea captain? lol
Patsy Priebe I know a treasure of some sort will be coming soon:-) At least I hope so!!
ReplyDeleteSad to say I'm leaving this group im just getting spammed with pictures of cars..its not what I thought this group was about.
ReplyDeleteMellissa Evans Not sure how long you have been with us, but I hope you will overlook our over Zelious car loving member/s. They don't do it all day every day, but some days it does feel like it. (Matthew Woodall italo tagliabue you know what she is talking about.)
ReplyDeletePlease do try to stick with us a little longer, and perhaps tell me what it is you would like to see more of. No matter how long you have been a member, your opinion counts and we do have lots of interesting folks posting all kinds of things.
But if you wish to leave us always remember you will be welcomed back at any time.
Uhhoo..okay..I'm out with the cars. I want to see other things too. :-)..so sorry.
ReplyDeleteMatthew Woodall The cars are interesting, truly. But feed them to us slowly over time. I do understand Mellissa Evans frustration. Thanks Matthew for understanding.
ReplyDeleteMellissa Evans Stay with Us dear .
ReplyDeleteI really do understand her feelings myself. I just kept seeing the fellows like and comment on them and some going to the What's Hot list, that I kept going , but for the sake of keeping a member here I will discontinue posting them,..or like you said Margaret, not so often. I'm off to bed now. May you all here have a great evening or day,..good night. :-)
ReplyDeletethat was very gracious of you Matthew Woodall
ReplyDeletePatsy Priebe, Matthew Woodall has always been a gracious gentleman, it is why I hate to mention something like this to him.
ReplyDeleteThanx very much all I have rejoined after seeing what a lovely bunch you are! Matthew Woodall don't get me wrong I enjoyed the odd car but over last few days my feed was crazy with cars lol but thank you for being so accommodating :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for reconsidering and joining us again. We do have a rather grand gathering of folks here, every walk of life and country I believe. Mostly because we all have memories of the past that comfort us and make us feel good all over again when we think of them.
ReplyDeleteGuys do love cars, and when there are so many to look at; well can we blame them for getting a little carried away now and then.
I do ask the membership to keep posts down to 3 or 4 in a day, it helps things like what happened to you from happening. But I don't usually say anything till it gets habitual if it is more.
I had a very nice collection of mis-matched china cups and saucers for mad hatter's tea party, but because I live in a studio flat, sadly i gave them all away as there's not enough room in here to swing a cat. Not that i want to swing a cat, mind, petting them will do.
ReplyDeleteJazzy Lemon that was funny about swinging a cat!
ReplyDeleteI like mismatched china too - I hope you saved your favorite one or two anyway
Well i thought i had some mis-matched china saved. I live with my son and yesterday I said I can't drink coffee in the pint glass cause it will break, can you get one of the china tea cups down and he said no because he threw them all away!
ReplyDelete(the ones i was actually saving!)
So sorry to hear that! I had that happen myself more than once, throughout the years.
ReplyDeleteJazzy Lemon Oh NO! so sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteit's disappointing but it's alright. I've got those lovely waffled pint glasses for drinking glasses. and this can give me an excuse to buy the alice in wonderland tea cup at Whittards of Chelsea ;)
