"Cloud Cap Inn" Mount Hood Oregon, USA. One-time popular resort, now the center for Hood River Crag Rats, a mountain rescue team and keepers of this site, now on the National Historic Places. Still a steep climb on a one-lane road, but well worth the views.

    Love the look of an old "resort" or lodge. I'm glad it's being used and maintained. Very nice post!

    It almost burned in a terrible fire a few summers go. One of the helicopter pilot fire fighters was a friend of the group who maintains it and dumped a whole load of red fire retardant on it, it saved it.
