  1. Once they started to fall flying records were made and smashed all over the world. This is something we here in America almost never hear about due to the troubled times of the world wars. I think that is silly to cling to these days.
Very cool rendering of the event italo tagliabue First Rome to Tokyo Flight in 1920. Thank you.

  2. For Margaret, Fascism was not yet in power, then the Italian Air Force was a must. I understand that we do not want to talk !!

  3. You may misunderstand my meaning, or I yours. (Language can be difficult to get around, and I do not speak Italian.)
I was saying that Now it is time to put aside differences we may have had in past decades because of wars. Now it is time to share our histories with one another to know and understand.
    Nothing political intended.

  4. Aviation was such a wonder then.Flying that FAR WAS A triomphant exploit for the aviator of any origin Very interesting post ,did not know about this valiant Lieutenant Ferrarin. In France we had Helene Boucher who was also a valiant female aviator. Now we talk about going to Mars.....

  5. I wonder why the Japanese 'Naval Jack' flag is prominent in this photo? (The rising sun, with the radiating rays...)

  6. Oshi Shikigami But is the rising sun flag only about Nippon Empire period? It looks so better than the actual that.

  7. That is my understanding, but I am no flag scholar. If anyone knows different, I would love to know.  :-)

  8. For Oshi: the flight was Rome Tokyo and then there was the emperor in Japan, the Japanese flags are drawn two, do not know the meaning and why
