Thurmond is still a flag stop for Amtrak 's Cardinal but most of its traffic is CSX coal trains.

    If it wasn't for the specific American signals, this would look like an ex-East German railway station

    Ann Kennedy - Thanks, Ann. I believe the National Park Service now runs Thurmond. Population, as of the 2010 census, is five.

    Gene Bowker - Thurmond's is arguably the most photographed train station in WV, Gene. I look forward to seeing what you make of it!
