I found this reference, and am passing it on. It is a chronological history of Kodak films. (It does have still films as well as motion.)
If you wonder what timeline a specific film was manufactured, you can find that here. It also lists the first times for various types of film manufacture. [Did you know their first movie film was 22 millimeters wide? I did not, thought it was 35 mm.]
