  1. Just don't think I could "Lure him away from the pool-boy", If he was interested in the first place?

  2. Ha ! The guy in the yellow is interested in the girl, while the guy in the blue is playing with the girl, but caressing the guy in the yellow's face. This was a pretty racy ad for the time.

  3. Um guys, not to burst your bubble. I think this add was the guy in the blue pushing away the guy in the yellow. There was quite a bit of the two guys after one girl in the old 50's movies also.
That said, it does look as if the painter was trying to show a bit of "Vibrant Colors" in his work.

  4. Oshi Shikigami take a look at the re post of this I did. The People in the camera are not the same as in the picture. Any Ideas as to why that may have been if it was real, or was it just a way to show more product.

  5. Interesting! Defiantly not the same. At lest they are up-side-down, as they would be with that type of 'view camera', or large format camera.

There is a possibility that if this was drawn from a photo, of having more models to our left, past the edge of the picture, as painted.

If that was the case this could really be a very close copy of the original photo, and the other people were only seen in the camera, due to cropping of the original, just to include the three shown.

  6. I love accessing the Professionals in the mix. So nice to have informed information. Thank you, as always, Oshi Shikigami for your input.

  7. In the upside down image are two girls and a guy in dresses and shorts not swimwear. In the written description it says (opposite page) so this was a two page add and we are only seeing half of it.  The camera maybe makes sense with what was on the other side.
