1940 FORD DELUXE SEDAN. 221 CI, 3-SPEED. (Drool, drool!) More photos via Mecum Auctions at http://bit.ly/1P2UKCx. (Drool!)

"Smooth contours, Art Deco touches and a distinctly aggressive visage have made the 1940 Ford a styling landmark that lives on in examples like this attractive Maroon 2-door Deluxe sedan, which is well turned out with a unique split back window, chrome bumpers and extensions, a front grille guard, fog lights, chromed hub caps and trim rings and wide Whitewall tires. Other preferred features include a 221 CI flathead V-8 and 3-speed column-shift manual transmission, trunk-mounted spare tire and nice Art Deco interior with clock and heater."

  2. Too cool! Love the trumpets for the horn in the last photo. Well, those and a number of other things.

  3. During WWII in China, my father was stationed there in the Southern interior. He came across a Brand New 1942 Ford sedan. It was owned by one of the chieftains of the area, and had been transported by raft, upriver for most of its trip to China.
