VINTAGE TOYS
VINTAGE TOYS
While on the chapter of American flat cars, here are three "Ford Thunderbird".
The toys are "Lesney Matchboxes" made in England (Mike Perry knows them). The age of the toys is about the same as the cars they represent (something like the early 60's). I remember how fabulous they looked to me when I bought them...
The size : approximately 2 1/2 inches long.

I remember these!
ReplyDeleteYep. I think my sons had a few of these, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's strange but I never had any Matchbox toys as a child, but I remember a friend had dozens of them and I felt rather jealous of him!
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked as a child, at my father's auto dealership, in the '50s, I could 'earn' a model car, off the showroom floor, for my days of labor at the 'shop'... It was so much fun! :-)
