  1. Looking at the other people there, it must have been in the winter. :-)

  2. It was March.
I'm guessing the industry has to design summer fashions a couple of seasons ahead of time.

  3. Yup. They're usually released a year or more in advance. Models are almost always wearing the wrong clothes for the season, freezing in the winter and sweltering in the summer.

  4. I totally missed the date on this post. :-)

  5. Charlotte Issyvoo Any fashion designer that released his line a "year or more in advance" would have been so under cut by the competition that they would have gone out of business. Lines are held in strict secrecy until unveiled upon the runway in Paris at Paris week. This years March showing date ?
PARIS: March 4 - 11, 2015 has been held about the same time each year for as long as I can remember. New York is in September.
Just saying, easy to check out.

  6. Sorry. I didn't mean they "release" them that far in advance. I meant they have them pretty much ready far in advance of the actual season for which they are designed. The models do model them in the wrong season though.

Forgive my lack of clarity. I've been taking care of a sick spouse all weekend. : (

  7. Any idea what the four rings on the wall on the right might be for?

  9. frank o'shea To hang something on?  Lol sorry, I honestly have no idea. As it is an old building it most likely is not decorative, but the reason is beyond me. Anyone?

  10. Could they be to tie up horses? If you're riding one, that would be just the right height before you get off. I think of this because just such a thing features in the plot of The Horse and his Boy, one of the books in the Narnia series.

  11. If not horse tethers then they might be torch holders.

  12. I wouldn't have thought of that. It makes sense.
