Whatever you drive, wherever you drive and whatever you do, have a great week! Personally I could do without the fins.
Thank you Ann ! That's exactly what I need !

That is a great looking car, but If I had the money to buy a vintage car, it would probably be a European model of some kind, ..especially a sports car. Nice post Ann, thanks. :-)
ReplyDeleteMatthew Woodall That would be fun wouldn't it!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I used to talk about driving Route 66 from Chicago to L.A. , more than two thousand miles all the way (sound like lyrics to a song?) and this would have been exactly the right car for that. Fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror, a bobblehead deity on the dash and Chuck Berry singing "The Promised Land" out of the AM radio. Oh Yeah!!
ReplyDeleteMike Martin Everybody goes on talking about things they'll never do. That's what helps us stay alive !
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone, my friend !
Laurent
Mike Martin I hope you make the trip, Mike. We've done a good part of it and I like to think we'll complete it some time. Having been born and raised on Rt. 66, it holds a special place for me:-)
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy - We kinda let go of the road trip dream when we found out we could let Amtrak's Southwest Chief do the driving. Only been as far as Flagstaff so far but we'll fix that.
ReplyDeleteMike Martin In that case, I don't blame you! Nothing beats the train when you have the time! I take the MO River Runner whenever possible. It's a great way to go.
ReplyDeleteLaurent TRUILLET - True, Laurent. The other trip for us is to Barcelona and Madrid. My wife's mother's family emigrated from Barcelona to Havana, so we'd like to see that city. I got to Madrid a couple of times with the Air Force and, oh my, what a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy - We enjoy taking the Northeast Regional from Williamsburg to Washington to go see the grandbabies.
ReplyDeleteMike Martin We've never done that route, unless that's the one that goes into Philly and NY. I bet there's good scenery from Wmbg. to DC.
ReplyDeleteGreen mint car for fresh moments
ReplyDeleteAnn Kennedy - That's the one, Ann. Or I should say "one of the ones." Newport News, VA is the southern terminus. We use the W'msburg station which is next to last. The one we ride has about two departures per day, but from Washington north to Boston there are several per day that use Amtrak's northeastern corridor.
ReplyDeleteMike Martin They all beat driving I-95 in any case!
ReplyDeleteThat a '63. My dad had one.
ReplyDeleteWorks for me.
