"Jungle exploration can be a dirty old business, throwing up such trials as tropical diseases and insects the size of your hand. So why not bring along a little piece of home? Come to think of it, why not take the whole thing?

"This was the thinking of Commander Attilio Gatti, who journeyed deep into Africa in a five-room 'deluxe apartment on wheels'.

"Known as the Jungle Yachts, his pair of custom-built trailers allowed the distinguished Italian explorer and his wife to travel in style, living like royalty in remote pockets of what was then the Belgian Congo."

  1. I can't imagine how this spacecraft would never be stuck on muddy roads deep in the jungle.
It doesn't even have a winch at the front (like the Land Rovers) to pull it out of desperate situations if necessary...
    Otherwise, a beautiful beast !

  2. Laurent TRUILLET Great points! I can't help but think deepest, darkest Africa might have had better roads back in the day. LOL!
