AMSTERDAM CONFERENCE
The first time I ever went to another country was on a school exchange when I was 16. We went to Rotterdam, Netherlands where I stayed with a family who had a daughter, Conny Booy, of a similar age to me. Amongst other places we visited was Amsterdam. For some reason she gave me a book with some old photos, and this is one of them. The caption says: The Big Three of the Lindengracht in front step conference.
I wonder what ever happened to Conny? I wonder what the three men in the photo were discussing? So many questions!

    You MUST find Conny ! Nothing is impossible !
    I have an incredible story of how I found (and met again) in 1992 a Scottish girl whom I visited in 1964, and another story even more incredible of how I found three years ago an English penpal I had in 1963.

    Laurent TRUILLET Those stories have inspired me. I have looked a little for her on the Internet - but must try harder! I've still got a few of the letters she sent me all those years ago.

    Mike Perry Try a local Internet community. My penpal lived in Accrington (Lancashire). I entered "Accrington" on Google, found a community and posted a message : "Does anyone know about Ann Blackburn ?" A lady answered that she knew her sister such a long time ago. And that was only the beguinning of the story !
