    That's amazing John. ..for back in the 30's & 40's. Why didn't it catch on & why have we never heard of it ?

    Matthew Woodall The link I provided in the post touches on a number of factors: the FCC, WWII and television among them. It's failure to be embraced was about bad timing in a lot of ways.
