On the chapter of famous writers, here is my story :
During one of my visits to the Brontë Country in Yorkshire (England), I did something that I never told anybody, for fear of being laughed at. I plucked a few branches of heather from the land of Wuthering Heights, near the Brontë's home (photo 1),  and I went to place them on the grave of Anne Brontë, in the old graveyard of Scarborough (photo 2), just about 100 miles away !
Ain't that terribly romantic ?
Please keep this secret to yourself, and not a word on Internet !

  1. Your secret is safe with us Laurent TRUILLET. I think it is wonderful that you honored her memory in this way. I am sure she smiled from heaven.

  3. Now that is fun to know! A lovely thing to do! I recently attended a burial in Louisville KY and noted that someone had left a box of Kentucky Fried Chicken and a few bones on the grave of Colonel Sanders:-)  the American food icon. Not nearly as romantic as visiting a Bronte grave!

  4. Ann Kennedy Are you sure it was done on purpose, or was it just your imagination ? Nobody has ever put a piano on Beethoven's grave in Vienna !!!
