It sends shivers up my spine when I look at this picture Margaret Siemers. The sheer power and wind generated by the wheel must have been awesome. If I worked on the factory floor I would be fearful of walking near the machine.
No gloves, no safety glasses, no "dead man's switch" nothing in the way of a fence around the grindstone - what a different world of industry. Thanks, Darran Hughes!
