Lots of very fine folks in this community.

Lots of very fine folks in this community. Seeing as we just hit a major milestone, and are now continuing to grow, I wanted to take a moment to thank all the people that have been instrumental in making this a fun place to be.

To the owners. The Vintage Painter and Sean Kinney for thinking up this idea to begin with.

To the tireless efforts of Ann Kennedy for keeping things running smoothly while I was off due to illness. (forever thankful Ann <3 )

To the regulars, the ones that knew us when we had only a  few members, and to those that have consistently posted, +'d and shared. Many Thanks.

  3. Thank you Margaret for valuing me as a new friend. From my side, I can say the same to you and your community.
    How did it start ?
I was just having a look at Google's suggestions, and I clicked on "Vintage Life" without thinking too much. What a surprise when I received from you a welcome message ! Yours is a very friendly community and I am glad I joined in. I am in 5 other communities (Railroads, Travel and Scotland) which are completely anonymous.
Now let me ask you a personal question :
I understand that you live in the US. I received your post at 9:00 AM European Time. It was 3:00 AM in New York, and even earlier farther west.
My question is : When do you sleep ?
Have a good day ! (or a good night ?)
    Laurent

  13. <3 I've got plenty more where those came from, folks. Maybe I'll start posting some older stuff that I wrote before this group came to be.

  14. Thank you so much for the recognition Margaret. :-) I can remember when Chrissy had just founded this community and I was one of the first that she invited, when there was only about 5 people here. It has been tremendous fun. :-)

  15. But that's what I've been posting: blog posts about fashion history. And I was thanked for it, so now I'm all confused.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I had not been here doing things for some time. Advertising blogs, not so good. Informational blogs more than likely allowed.
    Does that help you any?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ah, yes. Okay. I don't advertise anything or sell anything. I just give information for the love of fashion history alone. Thus my being welcome here. Good.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh wait, I thought this was... a different site. Too hard to explain but now I know why I was all confused. If people are okay with my sharing my fashion history posts here, I would so love to do that. I swear, I'm selling nothing! : )
