  1. I remember these machines.
    They were not juke-boxes as such, but merely juke-box TERMINALS.
    When the room was too large, you would have the juke-box at one end, and this terminal at the other end, allowing people to choose their music without having to fight their way through a crowdy place.
    An when the place was too small, they would have only the juke-box bare mechanism (cheaper) in a hidden room, and this selector as the only visible device in the room open to the public.
