I'm re-watching "the 40's house" from channel 4.

I'm re-watching "the 40's house" from channel 4. I downloaded it a while ago. But it really makes me proud to say that I come from a nation that survived through practical starvation and deprivation with a stiff upper lip. People of that era had no choice but to get through it, and they did, even though they took the scars with them for the rest of their lives.
