"One danger of war, according to London's Daily Express, is that Hitler will bore the British into making peace. To fight this threat of boredom, Britishers are sending each other kidding postcards like those printed here and on the next page. They show how the nightly blackout, when every city is darkened as a precaution against air raids, can still be a laughing matter."
