  1. Thex Dar Well you know it wasn't built in a day and they didn't have much time for parties.  However by '64 you'd think...

  6. Ann Kennedy Hi Ann! I can tell you the view is the same, the only thing that has changed are the monuments and old buildings restored and kept with more care.

  9. Margaret Siemers Thanks, yes where I live is a pleasent green place in the heart of Rome, but I honestly have to say that I don't feel so lucky or happy, it's the simple truth. I say it without victimhood, I've always been a bit 'gloomy.

  10. Ann Kennedy It's also a place with many American persons, especially students because there is the American University of Rome, and at the 'feet' of the hill, in Trastevere (Trustever), there is another American university, the John Cabot University.

  11. sereno353 Thank you so much for taking the time to share more about your city with me.  Have you always lived in the same area?  I am always grateful for green spaces in a city, wherever I go.  It seems they are becoming few and far between.  I learned a lot of history when my family visited Rome, but I was just a teenager.  We didn't want to leave the city, it was so beautiful and lively.

  12. Ann Kennedy Almost the same, I live there since 26 years, and when I was a child I lived in another part of Italy near L'Aquila - Abruzzo. Yes, I can't live without green and silence.

  13. Students may also study at the Loyola University Rome Center at Monte Mario. More than 15,000 have attended since 1962.
